I'm open. I have a question, though. What players are we picking in the draft? Are we picking the entire team - offense & defense or just specific positions? Thanks for helping out the newbie!

Trixie - we're each picking 18 players in the draft. That will be your team. Don't worry it won't take as long as it first sounds. Each pick has a two minute time limit and if a person exceeds that time, it will pick the highest ranked player that hasn't been picked up.

Here are the positions we are choosing:

1 Quarterback
3 Wide receivers
2 Running backs
1 Tight End
1 Kicker
1 Defense (you'll actually pick a team's defense like Dallas' defense or San Diego's defense to be your team's defense)
1 Defensive Back
1 Defensive Lineman
7 Bench players - these can be for any positions you think you need for backups to your starters. i.e. you can do 1 back up QBs, 2 back up WRs, 2 backup running backs, 1 back up defense, 1 back up kicker. Any combo you want to do.

Don't worry if you don't know names for players in any positions. You can go to the "Players" tab in our league page and see lists of players by position and their 2007 stats.

Also, during the draft, lists will be available for you to be able to see the next best available person for any particular position. So if you have no idea who you want as a defensive back, the list will tell who is the next best available defensive back.

I'm still not sure what will work for me, if I somehow couldn't make the live draft and rank my players I think it would just pick for me based on that right?

glam sugar - yeah, the system will choose for you based on yahoo's rankings or your own rankings. Whichever one you specify.
